What is, and why using MAGNETIC POWDER Cores?

Magnetic Powder Cores are distributed air gap cores made from ferrous alloy powders, which can be used over a wide rang of frequency and low losses at high frequencies. Small air gaps distributed evenly throughout the cores increase the amount of DC that can be passed through the winding before core saturation occurs, making it ideal for use in high current conditions. It has the following characteristics:

- High inductance stability under different condition, such as frequency, temperature, magnetization field.

- Excellent DC Bias properties

- High energy-storage capacity

- Over twice saturation magnetization compared with ferrite cores.

- Low core loss

- Permeability from tens to hundreds
